The ADRC Coalition is convened by the California Health and Human Services Agency and is made up of two representatives of each ADRC in California and representatives from the Departments of Aging and Rehabilitation.

The goals of the ADRC Coalition are:

  • Support local organizations working toward improving consumers’ access to long-term services and supports.
  • Improve consumer access to home and community services as intended under the US Supreme Court’s Olmstead decision.
  • Share technical and administrative tools and information.
  • Share successes and learn from challenges.
  • Support new ADRCs through information sharing.

In 2009, there were six ADRCs in California.  The ADRC Coalition met twice in person (Sacramento and Los Angeles) and shared information via email and teleconference.
